São Paulo – The trade delegation that the Federation of Industries of Santa Catarina (Fiesc) is organizing to participate in the Big 5 building sector fair, in Dubai, in November, is an opportunity for Brazilian companies to learn more about the most modern building technologies and prime material. According to the CEO at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, who participated in the release of a trade delegation at the Fiesc, in Florianópolis, on Thursday (2), Brazilian companies may make use of the event to learn about novelties in the sector.
"During the Big 5 they should participate in talks and seminars and should learn about what is newest and most modern in the sector, as well as meeting companies (from the region) at the fair,” said Alaby. Representatives of twelve Brazilian companies participated in the release of the delegation on Thursday. According to the CEO at the Arab Brazilian Chamber, they were producers of ceramic tiles, doors, building material and representatives of the Santa Catarina state chapter of the Civil Construction Industry Association (Sinduscon/Fpolis).
Alaby presented to those participating in the event the main business opportunities in the Arab countries, the main projects in progress in the region, like Jebel Ali airport, in Dubai, and also defined with those participating the limit date for enrolment of companies to participate in the trade delegation: on August 31.
The delegation promoted by the Fiesc generally takes those participating to the Big 5. This year, however, the delegation should also include a visit to Qatar, the country that grows most among the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (which also includes Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait) and should host the 2022 World Cup.
