São Paulo – The Brazilian minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Fernando Pimentel, is attending the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), a congress due from April 30th to May 2nd in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. According to information released this Monday (15th) by the ministry, one of the goals is to attract foreign investors into major projects in Brazil.
The theme of the event will be "A Future International Economic Landscape in the Making, Implications on FDI and the Economic Growth Prospects in Emerging & Frontier Markets". According to the Brazilian ministry, the progress of developing countries will be on the agenda, highlighting investment opportunities in said countries.
To that end, according to the ministry, Pimentel will present the second edition of the Catalogue of Investment Opportunities in Brazil, a compilation of the main projects that are open to foreign investors in the country. The compilation includes information supplied by several federal and state government organizations.
The Brazilian participation in the meeting’s third edition is an initiative of the ministry’s and the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex). The event will be attended by the secretary of Trade and Services at the Ministry, Humberto Ribeiro.
A fair will take place during the congress, and Brazil will have a booth with room available for enterprises to showcase their investment opportunities.
