São Paulo – The Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) is hosting the seminar Opportunities in water, clean energy and environmentally sustainable services in Dubai at the Renaissance Hotel next Monday (16) in São Paulo. The event will be held in partnership with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce as DEWA reaches out to Brazilian companies and looks to spot business opportunities involving Brazil and the United Arab Emirates.
DEWA, a 100% Dubai government authority, is rolling out tenders worth USD 70 billion in the coming years to transform Dubai into a smart and sustainable city. Investment opportunities will be available in fields including solar and clean energy, green funding consultancy, smart cities, cyber security, clean transportation, renewable energy, and innovative & alternative technology for sustainable development.
Projects in the emirate of Dubai will be presented by DEWA’s executive vice president for business support & HR executiveYousef Ebrahim Al Akraf, as well as by UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia) acting executive director Mohammed Abdulkareem Al Shamsi. They will speak from 6 pm to 8 pm on October 16, after which there’ll be a cocktail reception.
“This is an opportunity for fostering potential deals on both sides,” said Arab Chamber business executive Rafael Solimeo. “We are inviting our member companies to attend, as well as other businesses we believe might be interested.”
According to Solimeo, DEWA’s executives will also attend the IDA World Congress 2017 from October 15 to 20 in São Paulo’s World Trade Center.
Arab Brazilian Chamber CEO Michel Alaby said that good opportunities are available for Brazilian enterprises interested in Dubai as a market. “Especially in water treatment, which Brazil boasts vast expertise in,” he said. Alaby will attend the seminar.
