São Paulo – The Council of Arab Ambassadors in Brazil welcomed Kuwait’s new envoy to the country, Talal Rashed Abdulaziz Almansour, with a dinner party on Thursday night (14) in the federal capital Brasília. The Kuwaiti diplomat took up the post earlier this month. The party was hosted by the ambassador of Palestine and dean of the Council, Ibrahim Alzeben (pictured above, all participants in the meeting, with Almansour standing in the middle).
The dinner was attended by the International Relations vice president of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), Mohamad Mourad; the president of certifier FAMBRAS Halal, Mohamed Zoghbi; the secretary for Africa and the Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, ambassador Carlos Sérgio Sobral Duarte; the ambassadors of Mauritania, Bahrain, Syria, the Arab League, Lebanon, Qatar, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt and the chargé d’affaires of Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Iraq, in addition to Alzeben himself.
Mourad said the dinner allowed the ABCC to get closer to the new diplomat and, in this last meeting of 2023, wish him the best for 2024. “It is important to be closer to the Arab ambassadors, participating in what happens day by day, [talking] about what we are doing and will do in the coming months, and supporting [the embassies],” he said.
“It was an opportunity to meet Kuwait’s new envoy to Brazil and talk a little about the ABCC’s activities, invite him to visit the entity and plan visits to São Paulo with government bodies, other institutions, and the private sector,” said Mourad.
