Discarded wood turns into art in São Paulo
Five craftsmen from the outskirts of São Paulo make a living out of the art of marquetry, using pieces of wood found on the streets, and donations from furniture stores and carpentry shops. The result is boxes, lampshades, and even tables that are already for sale in the city. In addition to selling their pieces, the group has created a workshop to form new artisans in the community.
