São Paulo – The dollar declined 0.95% this Thursday (06) to BRL 4.10. However, in the week, it has gone up 0.78% against the real. This Friday (07) is Brazil’s Independence Day, a holiday, with no trading in the FX market. Last week, the dollar had surged, reaching BRL 4.15.
The Ibovespa, the main index of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), ended this Thursday going up 1.76% to 76,416 points. Shares of the major companies led the way: Petrobras’ shares climbed 1.34%, Vale’s went up 2.45%, Itaú’s rose 2.53% and Bradesco’s moved up 2.71%.
In the week, the Ibovespa has declined 0.58%.
