São Paulo – The dollar ended this Thursday (18) going up, after dropping for three consecutive days. The North American currency rose 1.11% to BRL 3.72, reversing yesterday’s result, when it went down 1.04% to BRL 3.68. The Brazilian Central Bank (BC) held its usual FX swap auctions, with no extra sales.
Ibovespa, the main index of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa) went down 2.24% in the day to 83,847 points. The shares of major companies followed the trend, with Petrobras’ going down 2.84%, Vale’s dropping 3.91% and Itaú’s and Bradesco’s falling 2.97% and 2.76%, respectively.
