São Paulo – The US dollar ended this Wednesday (15) going up 0.87% at BRL 3.901, its highest value since July 5, when it reached BRL 3.934. The financial market kept focused on Turkey, after the local government announced that it would double the tariffs on North American products, as a reply to the tension between the two countries.
The Ibovespa, the main index of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), went down 1.94% with 77,077 points. The decline mirrored the fall of shares of large companies such as Petrobras, down 4.65%, and Vale, down 4.45%.
