São Paulo – Brazilian brand Bertolini, of kitchens and planned furniture, is gaining greater prominence in the Arab nations. The company, which already has showrooms in Algeria, Sudan, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, is getting ready to open a new shop in Dubai. "We are going to change partners and open a new showroom. Larger and more complete," stated the export manager at the company, Aroldo V. Falkoni.
The new showroom should cover an area of 220 square metres against the prior 160 square metres. According to Falkoni, the shop is already almost ready and should be inaugurated prior to the main furniture fair in the Middle East, Index, which takes place once a year, in Dubai. The last showroom opened by Bertolini in the Arab world was in Algiers, the capital of Algeria.
In the Arab market, the company also exports to Qatar. The kitchen cabinets shipped to the Arab countries are all adapted to the local culture. The modifications vary from colours and sizes to other details. According to the manager, the Bertolini brand is renowned in the Arab world, mainly in the countries of the Gulf. "Bertolini is synonymous with kitchen," said Falkoni.
The company, which is already present in over 30 countries, exports 15% of production, with 30% of foreign sales turned to the Arab market. Apart from shops, Bertolini supplies its kitchens in steel and MDF to several projects in the Gulf. The company furniture is already present in several commercial and residential buildings in the Gulf. "I travel to the region constantly to visit works and new projects," said Falkoni, who should travel to Dubai twice more before the fair.
Despite the great presence of the brand in the Arab market, the main market for Bertolini is the African. The company has been present in the Arab market for almost 10 years, and has been expanding participation even further. The main contacts with Arab businessmen took place at Index. "We always participate in the fair. It is an event that supplies not only Arab countries, but also African nations and other important markets," added the manager.
40 years
Bertolini, headquartered in Rio Grande do Sul, has been in the market for over 40 years. Apart from kitchens in steel and wood, the company produces planned furniture for bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, sitting rooms and service areas.
