São Paulo – Egyptian brand Akapi Herbs operates in the spices, herbs, and seasonings sector and aims at the Brazilian market. The brand’s sales manager, Michael Kamal, explains the motivation is the size of the consumer market in the country. “We dream of entering our products of high-quality spices and aromatic herbs to all markets, especially in the Brazilian market because it is a large market that can accommodate our products,” he revealed in an interview with ANBA.
Akapi Herbs was founded in 2021, but Kamal explains they have been working with herbs for 11 years to other companies. The brand already exports to countries like Russia, Ukraine, and Italy.
For the manager, the Brazilian market is one of the largest in the herbs and spices field and could accommodate the brand’s entire range of products.
“We gained experience through our long previous work as a supplier of all kinds of spices and aromatic herbs such as thyme, basil, oregano, hibiscus, chamomile, fennel seeds, aniseed, peppermint, spearmint, sage, rosemary, marigold, and parsley,” said Kamal.
The brand also works with coriander, licorice, parsley, lemongrass, and celery. The manager explains the spices and herbs are produced organically in the brand’s own farms. “Akabi is ready to supply [whatever importers need]. We can supply 400,000 to 500,000 kilos per year of these products and grow even more,” he pointed out.
