São Paulo – Emirates airline reported on Friday (26) that services from São Paulo to Dubai will remain suspended until further noticed. They had been cancelled from February 1st through 28, and the carrier chose to uphold its decision. Passengers from São Paulo with onward connections through Dubai, though, can be accepted for travel on Emirates flights.
Flights from Dubai to São Paulo will keep operating. They had been suspended from February 1st to 10 but were resumed on the 11th. All Emirates passengers from Brazil must hold a negative COVID-19 test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure.
Emirates said in a news release that they regret the inconvenience. Affected customers should contact their booking agent or the airline’s call center for rebooking. The carrier suspended the flights to curb the spread of the COVID-19. Brazil has a new strain of coronavirus, which has been a reason of concern for several countries. Many have suspended flights from Brazil due to the mutation.
