São Paulo – The second Meeting with International Buyers from Pernambuco takes place from the 21st to the 23rd of September, in state capital Recife, and should bring together 15 importers from eleven countries, including one from the United Arab Emirates, Hores Representation of Companies, from Abu Dhabi.
The event should be promoted by the National Confederation of Industries (CNI) and the Federation of Industries of the State of Pernambuco (Fiepe), through the International Business Centre Network (CIN) and the Al-Invest program.
According to figures supplied by the CIN, the company from the Emirates is seeking a variety of products, like furniture, wardrobes, bookshelves, sofas, dining rooms, building material (wood, steel and cement), sugar, coffee, nuts, agricultural material and equipment (pesticides, irrigation equipment, fertilizers and natural grass).
The event should include stands for exhibitors and space for roundtables. In total, 110 companies from Pernambuco should participate in the meeting. Institutions like the Bank of the Northeast, the Bank of Brazil and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) should also be present.
Apart from the Arab company, the event should also bring buyers from Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ecuador, Spain, Nigeria, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Uruguay.
Before the fair and also during the event, Brazilian companies may participate in workshops and seminars with the objective of preparing them for negotiation with the foreign market.
Last year, 97.26% of exports from Pernambuco to the Arab countries were sugar. Revenues obtained by the state with exports to the Arabs totalled US$ 86.5 million.
