Dubai – The Expo 2020 Dubai opening ceremony will occur this Thursday (30) at 7:30 pm GST (3:30 pm UTC). It will be broadcasted live over the internet. The ceremony will feature concerts by artists such as tenor Andrea Bocelli and British singer Ellie Goulding, and cultural performances, among other attractions. Viewers from anywhere in the world can watch the event live on virtualexpo.world or Expo TV. In addition to the online broadcast, the ceremony will be screened in 430 locations in the United Arab Emirates, such as airports, hotels, shopping malls, and tourist sites.
In addition to Andrea Bocelli and Ellie Goulding, singer Andra Day, pianist Lang Lang, and singer Angelique Kidjo will also perform.

Viewers will also watch performances by regional artists, including the popular Mohammed Abdu, Emirati singer Ahlam Alshamsi, and national artist and Expo 2020 Dubai ambassador Hussain Al Jassmi, a trendsetter in the Middle East musical scene.
Singer Almas, a rising star in the UAE, and Lebanese American singer Mayssa Karaa are also part of the line-up.
Only guests are allowed to participate in the ceremony on-site.
This will be the first Expo in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region and the first to be hosted by an Arab country. In addition to being the most significant global event, it will be the first public on-site event with an audience since the outbreak of the pandemic.
