Brasília – The Brazilian trade balance recorded, in the second week of May (from the 07th to the 13th) a surplus of US$ 858 million. Exports totalled US$ 3.329 billion, and imports amounted to US$ 2.471 billion. Average exports per business day stood at US$ 665.8 million, and average imports per business day stood at US$ 494.2 million.
With the results from last week, the accumulated surplus for the year rose to US$ 14.389 billion. The data were disclosed today (14) by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
