São Paulo – Exports of drugs and medicines nitazoxanide, chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, fentanyl, midazolam, ethosuximide, propofol, pancuronium, vancuronium, rocuronium, succinylcholine and ivermectin need prior authorization from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA) to be exported.
The agency reported that the measure is temporary and applicable for products as salts, raw material, semi-finished, in bulk, or finished. The restriction was adopted due to the fight against COVID-19. In its website, ANVISA explains how the exports of this products must be registered on the Single Foreign Trade Portal.
