São Paulo – Focusing on the Brazilian community in Abu Dhabi, Brazil’s embassy in the emirate (pictured above) and the Brazilian Citizens Council in the UAE (CCBEAU) will hold the lecture “Outlook of Family Law in Brazil, based on rulings by High Courts (STF and STJ).” The event will take place in the embassy and is scheduled for next Monday (11), at 4 pm, free of charge.
Professor Antonio Jorge Pereira Jr. will teach a class on subjects such as child support, shared custody (including expats’ cases), multi-parenting and property division, plus the controversies between the Federal Supreme Courts and Congress.
The idea is to present the significant changes in Family Law made in Brazil by rulings of the Federal Supreme Court between 2011 and 2017. The lecture will be open to the general public.
Jorge is a professor at the master’s and doctorate Law courses at the University of Fortaleza and is visiting the United Arab Emirates for the first time. Later, he will speak on two events, the Congress of the International Academy of Family Lawyers in Manila Philippines, and the Western Australian Legal Theory Association (WALTA) in Perth, Australia.
