São Paulo – Emirates SkyCargo announced this Wednesday (15) that it carried 25 tons of vaccines from Milan, Italy, to the Belo Horizonte International Airport (Confins), in the state of Minas Gerais. According to the airline, this was the largest vaccine cargo carried by its cargo division and the largest cargo of this type of product to arrive at the Confins Airport. The transportation was made by a freighter Boeing 777.
The cargo had a total of 1.8 million doses of meningitis C vaccine. It was carried in 36 customized refrigerated (5ºC) containers. At arrival, the products were stored in refrigerated areas in the airport, according to a statement by the Dubai carrier.
