Spending by foreigners in Brazil stood at US$ 539 million in July this year and US$ 546 million in July 2012. From January through July, spending amounted to US$ 4.019 billion, as against US$ 4.017 billion in the same period last year.
As a result, the international travel deficit (spending by Brazilians minus foreigners’ spending in Brazil) stood at US$ 1.674 billion in July US$ 10.523 billion from January to July, as against US$ 8.695 billion in the same period of 2012.
