São Paulo – The Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries will take place online from October 19 to 22, featuring a networking and business area. In addition to discussions with authorities and experts from both regions, the event will feature a virtual environment showcasing Brazilian and Arab brands, where participants will be able to interact and share information. The Forum will be hosted by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).
“Brazilian and Arab companies that are partners of ours will be exhibitors. They will be able to discuss their experiences in the Arab countries and in Brazil,” says ABCC president Rubens Hannun. The exhibition area will feature stands where Arab and Brazilian companies will showcase their products and services, as well as speak with visitors, in formats depending on previously agreed-upon templates.
The exhibition environment will also feature a central stand presenting the services available from the ABCC, with staff on hand to engage with participants in Portuguese, English and Arabic. Visitors will also be able to hear from Hannun in the “Message from the President” area.
Another brand new feature this year will be a Café available to all visitors. Anyone entering the Café will be able to connect with anyone else who’s there at the same time. The entire exhibition space, from the companies’ stands to the Café, has been computer-designed in 3D.
Hannun points out that within the exhibition space, Brazilian companies active in the Arab market and Arab companies acive in Brazil will be able to relay their experiences to businesspersons looking to follow in their footsteps. It will also be a good place in which to talk business in. “It’s a business show with actual stands,” he says.
According to Hannun, both the panels and exhibition areas are loaded with symbolism. “It will be the materialization of a new form of connection for business and networking between Brazilians and Arabs.” Going forward, he envisions ABCC trade shows and forums straddling both the in-person and virtual formats.
Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries discussion panels will take place from 9 am to 1:30 pm (and starting 8:30 am on the 19th). The exhibition will run from 8:30 am to 6 pm each day (Brasília time). The exhibition will continue during the panels, with intermissions available so participants can go back and forth. The event relies on support from the Union of Arab Chambers and the Arab League.
