From a fruit stand to a great retailer
Aldemir Abdala, of Lebanese origin, transformed his small family business in the Municipal Market in the centre of São Paulo, in southeastern Brazil, into an empire of dry foods and beverages. He now has four stands at the Market, sells over 4,000 items, employs 69 people and ships products all over Brazil.
