São Paulo – Bahrain will host an international event in January aimed at businesswomen and executives, featuring product exhibitions, networking, and training on best practices in business and enterprise development. The Global Economic Forum & Exhibition for Women will take place from January 12 to 15, 2025, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Bahrain Bay in Manama, the country’s capital.
The event is held by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society and sponsored by Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King of Bahrain and President of the Supreme Council for Women. The forum and exhibition celebrate the silver jubilee of the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society.
The information was released by the Bahrain Embassy in Brasília with the aim of encouraging Brazilian participation. Brazil and Bahrain maintain strong trade relations. Bilateral trade between the two countries reached USD 1 billion this year, from January to October, with USD 858 million in Brazilian exports to Bahrain and USD 176 million in Bahrain exports to Brazil.
On the official website of the Global Economic Forum and Exhibition for Women, the organizers say the event celebrates the remarkable achievements of independent, empowered women around the world and that in today’s interconnected world, international trade serves as a powerful catalyst, uniting diverse economies and cultures. They also highlight the business success of women in Bahrain.
Topics and speakers
Among the topics to be discussed at the forum will be global partnerships for women’s empowerment, women shaping innovative diplomacy, the global influence of private sector investments, the AI’s role in shaping education and society, the future of digital economies, financial strategies for entrepreneurial success, and others.
Among the women who will speak at the event are the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States, Reema Bandar Al-Saud, the President of the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society, Ahlam Janahi, the Senior AI Consultant at Aramco Digital, Hale Donertasli, and the Group CEO of the Bahrain Development Bank, Dalal Al Qais. Also participating in the panels are some men, such as the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Khalid Humaidan, and the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Bahrain, Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro.
