São Paulo – The Khartoum International Fair starts this Thursday (30) at the Sudanese capital city, with good prospects for the participating Brazilian companies. The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is organizing, with support from the Foreign Relations Ministry, a stand in which three companies are exhibiting their products. According to the Business and Market Manager at the Arab Chamber, Rafael Abdulmassih, there are good business possibilities for these companies in Sudan.
One of the exhibiting firms is Kans BR, a hair cosmetics manufacturer. “There is strong demand for cosmetics in Sudan, Sudanese women are always well dressed, with accessories, make-up, they care about their appearance,” stated Abdulmassih, who is in the Arab country preparing for their participation at the fair. There are also good prospects for the other companies sharing the stand.
According to Abdulmassih, the Sudanese economy seems to be growing. According to him, the streets of Khartoum seem busy, with shopping mall expansions, road works underway, fleets of new cars circulating and many international brands on the shelves of stores and supermarkets. “The economy appears to be doing well,” he stated.
The multi-sector fair is in it’s 31st edition. Business officially starts on Friday (31), but the event’s inauguration takes place this Thursday evening. According to Abdulmassih, just from setting up the stand it may be observed that there will be strong European presence at the International Fair.
The companies that will be part of the Brazilian stand are CTC, a Sudanese company that imports and resells agricultural equipment from Brazil; Fame, of electric products and materials; and Kans BR, of cosmetics. The trade fair ends on February 06.
