São Paulo – The number of imported vehicles sold in Brazil was down 21.6% in the first six months of 2012 as against the same period of 2011. The announcement was made this Tuesday (10th) by the Brazilian Association of Motor Vehicle Importers (Abeiva).
In June, 11,200 units were sold, 9.6% less than in May. Compared with the same period of last year, the decline was even sharper: 41.4%. The industry employs approximately 35,000 people in the country.
