São Paulo – Consumer consciousness and ability to evaluate services and goods have improved in Dubai. The “Consumer Empowerment” index from Dubai’s Department of Economic Development (DED) climbed 10.4 to 64.6 points in 2017, from 54.2 points in 2016.
The index was created to keep track of consumer awareness of their own rights and responsibilities. It measures skills, awareness of consumer protection laws and consumer engagement, including locals, expatriates and visitors.
