Brasília – The Industrialist Confidence Index (ICEI) released this Thursday (22) by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) reached 63.2 points in November, the highest score since 63.3 in September 2010.
The ICEI climbed 9.5 in November from October. The November score is nine points higher above the all-time average, which is 54.2. The indicator ranges from 0-100. The higher the score, the strongest and more widespread the confidence.
The CNI said confidence levels increased across the board. “Since the election results have come out, very positive expectations are in place with regard to upcoming changes and reforms which may spur economic growth and improve the business environment,” a CNI statement quoted executive manager for Economic Policy Flávio Castelo Branco as saying.
The CNI polled 1,068 small, 1,015 medium and 609 large businesses, to a total of 2,692, from November 1 to 14.
