São Paulo – The National Confederation of Industries (CNI) of Brazil has changed its forecast for industrial growth in 2004 for the third time. At the beginning of the year, the forecast was 4.5%, it then rose to 5% in June, and yesterday (02) organization president Armando Monteiro Neto announced a new forecast of 6%.
"The rhythm of expansion of production and of industrial employment in recent months makes it possible for us to expect 6% growth," he said, today (03) through a CNI spokesperson. The percentage is greater than the government and private company estimate for the economy as a whole, between 3.5% and 4%.
