Brasília – This Wednesday (16), Brazilian National Aviation Agency (ANAC, acronym in Portuguese) allowed an increase in the base fees for boarding, connection, landing, and permanence in airports administered by Infraero. The new values may be applied after 30 days of the official divulgation of the increase by Infraero.
With the increase, the maximum fee for passengers boarding in domestic flights will go from BRL 31.27 (USD 8.38) to BRL 32.95 (USD 8.83). In international trips, the maximum boarding fees will increase to BRL 112.83 (USD 30.25) to BRL 115.82 (USD 31.05). According to ANAC, the increase was applied considering the accumulated inflation from 2017 to December 2018.
Infraero administers more than 50 air terminals, responsible for approximately 60% of the air traffic in Brazil. They include the airports Congonhas (São Paulo), Santos Dumont (picture above), Rio de Janeiro, and Recife, Pernambuco.
