Brasília – The remaining 2019 investment budget for Brazilian state-run companies increased by BRL 549.347 million (USD 549,347 million) to BRL 120.564 billion (USD 31.866 billion), as per an administrative act published this Wednesday (30) in the Federal Gazette. The Annual Budget Law provided for BRL 120.014 billion (USD 31,721 billion). The funds are earmarked for 240 construction or service projects involving 84 federal state-run companies.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the budget is now wider as a result of “the reopening, transpositions, incorporation and supplementation of credit.” The companies are in sectors including finance and insurance, supplies, electric energy, oil and natural gas, port administration, airport infrastructure, the process industry, various industries including currency production, naval and hemoderivative projects, services, energy research and development, and communications.
