São Paulo – Investment was up 0.5% in Brazil in April from March, as per Gross Fixed Capital Formation Indicator released this Friday (7) by the Institute for Applied Economics Research (IPEA). The indicator shows how much the companies’ capacity increased and if they are confident in the future.
Year-on-year in April, the indicator was down 0.9%. In the 12 months through April, investment was up but decelerate. It climbed 2.7% in the 12 months through April over 3.7% in the previous period. Civil construction drove growth in April.
