Amman – Jordan’s tourism industry grossed USD 2.9 billion from January to July, up 13.7% year-on-year, local news agency Petra quoted the Central Bank of Jordan as saying this Wednesday (15).
The hike in revenues stemmed from stronger tourism inflows. Jordan welcomed some 2.8 million travelers in the first seven months of 2018, up 9.3% from a year ago.
In July, tourism revenue reached USD 515.5 million, up 20;7% from USD 427 million in July 2017.
