São Paulo – Paradise Bakeries, from Jordan, exports traditional cakes and sweets to 15 markets abroad and aims to reach Brazil and Latin America. The company exhibited in a space organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) at the APAS Show 2023, which took place last week in the capital of São Paulo.
Paradise Bakeries was established in 1996, with a shop in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and now has four branches around the country, in addition to one unit in New York, in the United States, employing 350 people.
According to the Sales and Export director of Paradise Bakeries, Mohammed Al-Attili, it began serving the foreign market in 2010, and exports currently account for 30% of the company’s annual sales. The company is working to increase production capacity through modernized production lines, high production capacity, and efficiency to meet growing local and international demand.
In an interview with ANBA, Al-Attili said the company started exporting through Qatar, later expanding sales to the entire Arabian Gulf region and reaching Europe, the United States, Australia, Canada, and other major international markets. According to the executive, participating in the APAS Show for the second time was to look for distributors in Latin America.
For ANBA, Al-Attili commented on the impact of the increase in the prices of raw materials and production inputs, such as flour and yeast. According to him, this global phenomenon has significantly increased production costs. The company absorbed part of this burden, and another part had to be passed on to the final price. However, he said the clients accepted it because it was a global movement.
