São Paulo – Egyptian designer Karim Rashid (pictured above) will lecture on innovation and design at the III World Plastic Connection Summit, Brazil’s main international event in the plastic sector. The Summit is organized by the Think Plastic Brazil program, an initiative of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and the National Institute of Plastics (INP) to promote the internationalization of converted plastics from the country. The event, to occur in-person and online from August 21 to 24, will also have the Marketing & Content director of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), Silvana Gomes.
Its goal is to position Brazil as a world reference in the innovation and design of converted plastics and connect national suppliers with the international market. The International Color Trends Guide, Color Trend 2024, will be launched during the summit. The color research and creative direction for this edition of the Guide were coordinated by Brazilian designer Jum Nakao in partnership with Beatriz Abreu and Brazilian companies participating in the Think Plastic Brazil project. It is the result of a global study on color trends which also reflects the values and customs of Brazilian culture for application in different plastic products.
