São Paulo – The Kuwait Red Crescent Society donated USD 100,000 to the Brazilian Red Cross to support the institution’s efforts fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The information was released by the Kuwaiti ambassador to Brazil, Nasser Riden Almotairi.
The ambassador has recently been with the president of the Brazilian Red Cross, Júlio Cals, and discussed the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement between the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and the Brazilian institution and assisting Brazilian regions affected by the pandemic.
Both organizations work with humanitarian aid and also have operations outside their home countries.
