São Paulo –Luhome, a Brazilian maker of leather furniture and decoration objects, aims to export to the Arab countries. The company started implementing its internationalisation plan this year and has the Arab market, mainly the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, as its main target.
“We participated in the main furniture and decoration fair in Dubai, in May 2013, creating good perspectives for future business with countries in the region,” said Leticia Kramer, Marketing and Sales manager at the company.
Luhome is headquartered in Estância Velha, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, and participated in Index Dubai this year. The company should participate in another fair, Projets Prestige, also in Dubai, in November, and plans to return to Index Dubai and head to Index Saudi Arabia in 2014.
The company believes that there is significant demand for its articles in the Arab market. “We verified that due to the interest demonstrated in our products, which use top end legitimate leather and are top quality,” said Kramer.
Luhome is situated in a region in Brazil that has many leather producers. The company makes furniture like armchairs, centre tables and side tables, and articles for decoration like trays, boxes and service plates.
Kramer defined elegance, personality and exclusiveness as characteristics of its products. The objects are for domestic and office use. The number of items produced varies according to demand and to the kind of product.
It is almost all made by hand at the Luhome factory. “The production and planning work is detailed and almost 100% manual, which results in perfect finishing and unique design. Excellence of garments, added to the raw material used, has transformed Luhome products in truly desirable objects,” said the manager.
The company was established in July 2005 and is not listed. The company has its factory and offices in Estância Velha. Luhome also has a showroom in the city of São Paulo and plans to open a shop in Jardins neighbourhood, one of the most luxurious in the city, this year.
