São Paulo – The CEO of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Michel Alaby, will present the lecture Cultural Aspects and Negotiation with Arab Countries at the Renaissance Hotel, in the city of São Paulo, on December 9th, a Wednesday.
“I will talk about the Arab culture and how it works within trade relations”, said Alaby, who has decades of experience in foreign trade, especially in the Arab world. He will speak on what Brazilian business owners should concern themselves, what precautions to take and how the Arabs’ business methodology operates.
“The relationship is important. The Arab wants to become a friend, to have a permanent relationship, to gain confidence to negotiate”, emphasized the executive. “They value the relationships with people, not with companies”, he added.
Knowing the particularities of entrepreneurial culture in each region is crucial for people looking to do business in the Middle East and North Africa, and Alaby covers the details in an educational, humorous way. “I’ll also tell you about the three pillars of negotiation: patience, perseverance and persistence,” he said.
After the lecture, a breakfast is scheduled to promote a networking session. Admission is free, but for Arab Chamber members only. In case all slots (which are limited, aren’t filled) other interested parties may attend (see registration information below).
