Mining company Vale do Rio Doce had another record year
The Brazilian mining company had revenues of R$ 35.4 billion (US$ 16.3 billion at current exchange rates) and had net profit of R$ 10.4 billion (US$ 4.8 billion) in 2005. The main factors that influenced this performance were the demand on the foreign market and the increase of production. The company exported the equivalent to US$ 7 billion.
