São Paulo – A campaign from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply is encouraging consumption and sales of organic foods in Brazil amid the coronavirus pandemic. The effort was launched this Tuesday (8) with the slogan “Healthy food is at your reach – Organic Food makes life better.” In existence since 2005, it was retailored to match the circumstances wrought by Covid-19 in Brazil and the industry.
Minister Tereza Cristina gave suggestions of how producers can sell their output, such as by delivering kits to spots in cities or else to people’s doorsteps. “We must financially support these entrepreneurs, because that will ensure not only healthy food for our families, but also an income for farmers who are resiliently facing this difficult time,” she said.
