São Paulo – Supplying organic food to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, is one of the challenges for 2009 for the Trademasters, an international marketing and sales company headquartered in Campinas, in the interior of the state of São Paulo. The trading company, which already exports to Europe and the United States, is negotiating with a large local supermarket chain.
"In Dubai there is a very great market for finished products. They are interested in importing juice and cereals. I believe that negotiations should be concluded in the near future," explained trader Leda Maria Caberlin. "We also plan to participate in fairs in the region to promote our products," she said. Trademasters also exports cosmetics, beach fashion and fitness clothes, jewellery and products for pets.
According to the trader, with just three months in existance, the company already makes possible export by over 140 micro and small companies and medium producers in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo and Santa Catarina. "We are specialized in this sector as we have noticed that it is essential to understand the difficulties that Brazilian producers face to promote their products on the foreign market. High brand promotion costs, the need for know-how and qualified professionals to win new markets and the problem of communication often halt the evolution of business," she explained.
According to Caberlin, the trading company also offers services like the financing of production for export and management of marketing with clients at international points of sale. "The company works with the philosophy of taking to the world what Brazil has that is best. Our suppliers are producers of consumer goods in all categories, but we seek organic and natural products with very special attention," she guarantees.
The search for new clients is a constant activity promoted by the company. From February 19th to 22nd, Trademasters should be present in the largest organic product fair in the world, Biofach, which takes place in Nurembergh, Germany. "Biofach receives buyers from all over the world. For this reason, I believe that I may represent another opportunity to promote both our company and the products we represent among Arab importers," she bets.
