Rio de Janeiro – Oil and natural gas production at all Petrobras wells in Brazil and overseas amounted to 2.47 million barrels per day in September. The information was released this Monday (29th). Last week, the company confirmed that from January to September, output averaged at 2.5 million barrels per day, down 1% from the same period in 2011.
According to Petrobras, average output in September in Brazil was down 3.7%, to 2.2 million barrels per day. Production in foreign countries was up 4.8% in September from August, and reached 249,000 barrels of oil and natural gas per day.
Domestic oil production only was down 4.4% in September from August, due to scheduled interruptions at Roncador Field’s P-52 and Marlim Field’s P-19. In September, the company produced 1.8 million barrels per day of oil alone. Petrobras also informs that last month, a new platform started operating at the Baleia Azul field, off the Espírito Santo state coast. Domestic natural gas output stood at 60.4 million cubic metres, 0.3% up from the output in August.
