São Paulo – The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported this Wednesday (2) that oil and gas production hit a record high in August. Volume reached 3.828 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Oil extraction stood at 2.989 million barrels per day, up 7.7% from July and 18.5% from a year ago. The previous record of 2.775 million bpd was seen in July 2019.
Natural gas output reached 133.3 million cubic meters per day, up 7.4% from July – when the previous record of 124 million cubic meters per day was seen – and 25.3% from a year ago.
