São Paulo – Oman increased oil production by 4.93% in May, as against April 2012, according to figures disclosed by the country’s Ministry of Oil and Gas. Last month, the country produced 28,890,608 barrels, an average of 931,950 barrels a day. The information was disclosed by Oman News Agency.
According to a report by the government of Oman, production presented in May is considered the highest over the last nine years. The total volume exported last month was 22,065,149 barrels, an average of 771,770 barrels a day.
The report also shows that the markets in Asia received the lion’s share of Omani crude oil exports. China led the list of importers in May, having bought 49.6% of production.
