Rio de Janeiro – Petrobras reported positive Q3 operational results this Thursday (17). It said oil, natural gas liquids (NGL) and natural gas output was up 9.3% from Q2, and pre-salt output – which currently accounts for 60.4% of total oil production in Brazil – was up 17%.
Refining was up 2.9%, driving a drop in imports, especially of gasoline and liquefied natural gas (LNG), while refining industry utilization going from 76% to 80%.
“Oil and gas product sales were up 3.5% in Q3 from Q2, with diesel sales going up 5.2% on the back of grain crop planting and industrial activity. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sales climbed 3.2%,” the company reported.
