São Paulo –Petrobras has been pre-qualified to participate in the tender for oil and gas exploration in deep waters in Lebanon. The announcement was made on Thursday (18) by the Petroleum Administration and the Ministry of Energy and Water of Lebanon. The offers will be presented on May 2nd. The information was disclosed by Lebanese magazine Executive.
The government of Lebanon still needs to decide the ten blocks to be explored and the production sharing agreement on which the contracts signed by companies will be based. The bids will be evaluated in November and contracts should be signed in February 2014.
