Rio de Janeiro – Petrobras ended Q2 with a net profit of BRL 10.07 billion, up 45% from BRL 6.96 billion in Q1, in the best result since 2011. In Q2 2017 it had seen BRL 316 million.
H1 net profit for Petrobras reached BRL 17 billion. It said “the positive result was mainly driven by higher international oil prices, coupled with the fact that the real slid relative to the dollar.” Net debt was down 13% from December 2017 to USD 73.66 billion, the best result since 2012.
The numbers are in line with an uptrend in place since previous quarters. H1 oil and gas production was 2.7 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
