São Paulo – The Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) signed last week an agreement with Brazilian oil giant Petrobras. In the period, the company is going to invest US$ 4.9 million in the implementation of a centre for the research of material used in oil refining. A building will be raised and equipment will be purchased. The new centre should be ready in six months. The Centre of Exact Sciences and Technology at the Federal University of São Carlos (CCET) already executes research in the area in partnership with Petrobras.
