São Paulo – This Tuesday (13), BRL 148.5 million (USD 37.5 million) were raised in public tenders in the auction of three port areas in Santos and Paranaguá. The auction went down in the morning at B3, the Brazilian stock change.
The first area in Santos was bought for BRL 112.5 million (USD 28.4) by Hidrovias do Brasil. The company earned the right to explore for 25 years three warehouses interconnected to the pier by belts, comprising 29,300 square meters to transport salt and fertilizers.
The second area in Santos was sold to Aba Infraestrutura for BRL 35 million (USD 9 million). Aba’s offer was the only one seemed valid. The 38,400-square-meter space is made to transport liquids, such as chemical products, ethanol, and oil products. With a single bidding too, Klabin paid BRL 1 million (USD 252,200) for a 27,500-square-meter area to transport general cargo at the Port of Paranaguá.
