São Paulo – Brazilian poultry exports revenue grew by 2.1% in November, amounting to USD 537.5 million. During the period, 321,900 tons, up 3.1% from a year ago. The figures were made public by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) this Thursday (5) and include raw and packaged products.
Year-to-date through November, poultry exports were up by 2% year-on year, reaching 3.822 million shipped tons. In revenue, year-on-year growth was 6.1%, to USD 6.358 billion.
ABPA executive director Ricardo Santin was quoted as saying in a release that “as is the pork case, Asia’s health situation has also generated significant impacts on poultry exports. In November, exports to China grew by 61% from a year ago. Even with new market players, the Chinese market demand will keep on being one of the drivers for the international market next year,” he analyzed.
