Rio de Janeiro – The preliminary inflation rate, as measured by the Extended National Consumer Price Index – 15 (IPCA-15) registered 0.64% in July. The rate stands well below the preliminary rate of June (1.11%), but above the IPCA-15 of July of 2017, when it showed a deflation of 0.18%.
With July’s preliminary data, the official inflation rate stands at 3% year-to-date, and at 4.53% year-over-year. The data was shown this Friday (20) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
