Two Brazilian goals were scored by Raphinha. Richarlison, Neymar, and Pedro scored one each. Dylan Bronn scored for Tunisia. The Brazilians were able to get much more shots than the Tunisians. There were ten attempts against two of the Tunisian football team.
Brazil’s performance prevailed in the match over Tunisia’s. The Brazilians had possession of the ball 65% of the time, the Tunisians 35%. On the other hand, Brazil committed many more fouls than Tunisia, despite having received two yellow cards against three of the opponent, and a Tunisian player got a red card.
An outrageous situation marked the match and drew significant media attention. A banana was thrown on the pitch toward Brazilian player Richarlison. On its social media, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) reinforced its position in fighting against racism and said it repudiated any prejudice manifestation.
In the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, Brazil will be in group G and face, in the group stage, Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon. Tunisia qualified for group D and will play against Denmark, Australia, and France. It is the first time an Arab country will host the football World Cup.
