The Consulates General of Qatar and Canada in São Paulo and the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce organized an event at the Football Museum on Thursday (18), featuring large-screen broadcasts of the FIFA World Cup match between the two countries.

In the latest round of warm-up matches ahead of the tournament, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan suffered defeats, while Iraq, Qatar and Morocco drew. Saudi Arabia secured a win, and Algeria will take the field on Tuesday (9).
The men’s national teams of Brazil and Egypt will face off in a preparatory match for the FIFA World Cup on June 6 at 7 p.m. (Brasília time) in the United States.
The Arab country’s national team is in the same group as Brazil in the tournament and features standouts Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Díaz among its 26-man squad. The match between the two teams will take place on June 13.
Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Tunisia and Morocco will represent the Middle East and North Africa in the tournament starting in June.
The team beat Bolivia 2–1 in the final playoff spot and will now face France, Senegal and Norway in Group I.
The Arab country’s national team faces Bolivia early tomorrow morning. The winner will secure a place in the football tournament, which kicks off in June.
The men’s national teams will face each other in June in the final friendly before the World Cup.
Both teams will participate in the tournament, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The match will be a friendly in preparation for the football competition.
With a victory over the UAE men’s national football team on Tuesday (18), Iraq secured a place in the playoff to try to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With both teams, next year’s tournament already has seven Arab countries confirmed. Iraq and the United Arab Emirates are still competing for a spot.
